The owner of the unit pays a monthly fee to have the HOA take care of heavy-duty and exterior maintenance.

When people want to buy real estate they typically call on a realtor. A realtor is a professional who specializes in selling homes and is usually an expert in a certain city or suburb. Realtors may also specialize in a certain type of housing such mansions or condos. Some people prefer condominiums where there is no maintenance to hassle with; other homeowners prefer a large single-family home with lots of land and privacy; while others want a tract house surrounded by a lot of neighbors. What people buy is just a matter of budget and taste.

A spike in short sales helped overall values and the market in general closing out 2011. Some areas of real estate are picking up, mainly short sales. According to the National Association of Realtors, continuing drops in housing values indicate that the housing market won’t be recovering for another year or so.
